Stepping onto the Octane carpet…
There are cars that arrive at Octane and force us to talk about production figures, special editions, engines that have disappeared, or stories that will one day be worth more than the car itself.
This isn’t one of those cars… And thank goodness for that!
This Porsche Macan doesn’t need to be rare, exotic or particularly special to make sense.
It just needs to do what it’s always done so well, namely:
Be beautiful,
Comfortable,
Functional… and continue to look modern enough that nobody would believe a few years have passed.
First registered in December 2018, it already belongs to the first generation of the Macan facelift, an update that gave it a much more modern look and, above all, that rear end which has still aged very well today.
This particular car has just 66,000 km on the clock and was imported from an official Porsche dealership in 2025. It features a dark blue exterior, which, paired with the large alloy wheels, gives it precisely what a Macan needs: presence.
And then there’s a quality we don’t usually associate with the word ‘Porsche’: practicality.
This Macan is in Class 1 for motorway tolls and costs just €258.73 in annual road tax.
And when we start to put it all together – low mileage, image, functionality, build quality and perfectly reasonable running costs – we realise where the true essence of this car lies.
For this price, there are plenty of SUVs on the market.
Some will be newer…
Others will have more technology…
And there will probably even be some that are more economical…
But there aren’t that many Porsches.
And that, whether you like it or not, still counts for something.
