Stepping onto the Octane carpet…
Enter a Porsche 911 Carrera S that was never designed to appeal to the mass market.
It was designed to please the person who commissioned it.
And perhaps that is precisely why it turns our heads today...
This Portuguese-registered example, with just one previous owner, has always been serviced through the Official Porsche Network, reflecting an impeccable service history and careful use throughout its entire life.
Its specification is, without a doubt, a true statement of personality.
At a time when many choices are made with future resale in mind, this Carrera S took a different path, prioritising the driving pleasure of its daily owner. The result is a distinctive, elegant and, above all, authentic 911.
Beneath the rear bonnet lies one of the most memorable chapters in the 911’s recent history: the renowned 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six, producing 420 cv, which in 2015 ushered in the turbo era for the Carrera S without ever compromising what has made the 911 an absolute benchmark amongst sports cars.
But the figures never tell the whole story!
There’s a moment that every 911 owner knows…
That moment when you choose a longer route… for no apparent reason.
Not because it’s the quickest route…
But because there are roads that seem to have been designed with this car in mind.
The steering conveys every detail of the tarmac, the chassis instils an almost intuitive confidence, and the engine – positioned exactly where it always has been – reminds us with every acceleration why, more than sixty years on, the 911 remains the benchmark against which all others are measured.
It is precisely then that we realise something…
A Porsche 911 has never been just a destination…
It has always been an excellent excuse to get out of the house.

Editor’s Note:
Some argue that the Porsche 911 came to an end with the 997. Others believe that the 991 was the last generation to preserve the classic proportions before the arrival of the 992 generation.
We prefer simply to say that the 991 achieved something rare: it modernised the Carrera without stripping it of its identity.
Even without wishing to get into that debate… yes, perhaps the 991.2 is the last beautiful 911…
