Whilst many sought to build the fastest or most extravagant sports car, the British manufacturer insisted on creating cars capable of stirring the soul long after the journey was over.

And perhaps that is precisely why an Aston Martin never goes out of fashion.

The proportions remain timeless, the driving position makes us feel immediately connected to the car, and the twin-turbo V8 responds with an almost disconcerting ease, switching between the elegance of a true Grand Tourer and the character of a pure sports car whenever the right foot so decides.

But the real magic happens when the roof disappears…

The sky becomes part of the cabin, the sound of the engine takes on a whole new dimension and, before you know it, you find yourself seeking out roads where time seems to pass more slowly.

It’s curious how some cars manage to transform a simple journey into a moment we want to prolong.
